PACE OF PLAY

Pace of play if essential to a good tournament.  THE R&A and USGA jointly identify guidance that each player should take a maximum of 40 seconds per shot and global statistics on the walking speed of us players suggest we average about 1.34m per second.  Put this together with the the FPG statistics on the average player Pars for Estoril, the Hole distances and the distance between holes at the Estoril Golf Club for 3 players, and you get the estimate for the RBCGS recommended Pace of Play at Estoril below.
