The Arthur Millton Trophy Tournament is our brand new sponsored event to honour the memory of the late Arthur Milton, who served as Chairman of the Royal British Club from 2023 -2024. Arthur had committed himself fully to the RBC before being struck down by illness after only 18 months in the role. At the RBCGS lunch where he introduced himself to the golf society members, he even stated his intention to take up golf once the demands of his role as Chairman permitted it. Sadly, that opportunity never arose.
The trophy itself serves to commemorate key themes in Arthur´s life - his upbringing in Yorkshire, his time at Jesus College, Oxford, his career in finance and last but not least his last but incomplete role as RBC Chairman. The tournament has been kindly sponsored by his close friends , Nick Kirk and John Maynard.
